You have to pull the front part of the dash off. It's a pain, but take your time and get all the snaps and connectors off. Don't force anything. Then there will be 4 screws to remove the radio. There are some pictures on the signature link.

Why not use the radio rwmoval tool and just slide it out? Although, I have that dang tool and can't seem to figure out how to get it to work so I can try to fix a squeeky rattle thing in the dash/radio.
Autozone sells them for about $5.

For the aux on the stock radio is it 2 rca connections on the back? I am wanting to hook my satelite radio up to it instead of the m transmitting. Any help would be apprieciated. THanks

The best way to do it is get an can adapter from P.I.E (presicion interface electronics). If you search the web you can find them. This converts the can bus to 2 rca for plugging stuff in. I haven't tried one yet, but that is what I intend to use.

You can remove the ashtray & slide assembly, remove the trash bag hook (or whatever that thing is) and then you can reach up behind the radio to plug in a PIE or whatever you have. Search this site for the exact audio components/adapters. I used and adapter, a 3 source selector and an iPod adapter/charger for SM, iPod, and free pair of inputs for whatever comes along next.
If you want I can check on exact components & source when I get home tonight.

In the morning I will have to look at my radio, but I don't remember seeing the AUX option on there anywhere (6 Disc in dash CD) but if that is the case with simply plugging it into the back of the stock radio I may have to look into getting a XM or Sirrus reciever.

I got a PIE FRD04-AUX; Soundgate AUX3 Multiple Aux Input Switching Interface, and a Blitzsafe UII Universal iPod Interface. Just be sure to get the right model AUX input for your year truck.
Boneyfinger,
One more thing. I just realized this after running a few errands this morning.... You'll want to use the same delayed power source as your radio for the aux add-ons. I didn't at first them went back and rewired everything. I actually used the delay power to the radio as a signal to a relay I put in that pulls directly from the battery to handle some other things I wanted delayed too (XM, CB, 2-meter radio, cell phone chargers, GPS).
Unfortunately, everything that I have found on the Internet that will connect an Ipod to our 2006 Super Duty radios will not work with the steering wheel controls and will not display on the display screen. We need something that will operate an Ipod or XM Radio through the factory controls. This animal may not be available yet. There is a market for this product if someone will just develop it. I am about to install my aftermarket radio with XM radio and Ipod with remote control into my new truck I will need to contact Crutchfield and get the new wiring harness and be done with it.
