removing the steering stabilizer

On my truck, everything is new under the front and after dealing with a truck that constantly needed steering correction and somewhat tough to tow with I decided to experiment and remove the stabilizer. It drives sooo much better now. I can drive 75 to 80 no problem with one hand at the bottom of the wheel, unlike the two hands at the top of the wheel like before. I haven't pulled my 28' bumper pull RV yet but from what I can tell now it should be a much more pleasant experience. My truck drives almost as good as it did during it's previous life as a 4x2!! Any ideas as to why it behaves better after losing the stabilizer? The only thing I can come up with is perhaps a loose steering box.

Re: removing the steering stabilizer

Not limited to automotive parts.... all "new" means in this day and age is "previously unused"...
