Re: seatbelt chime

ok, i will tell him to do that.

the guy at the MOPAR stealer, told my dad that if he unplugged his seat-belt thing then it would beep all the time no matter what. was he just saying this to prevent us from doing it or is it true?

Re: seatbelt chime

Read the manual. It doesn't come back on.
Also, you can cut the wire in the ignition column that sends the signal to the chime.

Re: seatbelt chime

It has been posted in the past here on the forums that unplugging the wire under the drivers seat will affect the air bag function.

The proper way to disable the seat belt chime is in the owners manual. It can be found under Safety restraints, Belt minder. It is on page 103 in my 2001 manual. The 9 step instructions to disable the belt minder are on page 105.

As for the Dodge it may be in the manual as well, I don't know.
