shake during acceleration

This past Saturday evening, after using my 7.3L earlier for work, my truck started shaking while driving down the road. I noticed it immediately upon pulling out of the driveway. I drove at most 2 miles before I decided to turn the truck around for something wasn't right. The truck started shaking mostly during any acceleration, but was most noticable at speeds above 40 mph. It wasn't a violent shake, but very noticable. On flat level ground just running down the road, there was none or minimal shaking. But, as soon as I tried to accelerate, the shaking would start. In the idle state, i didn't notice any rpm changes, however, the engine "knocking" seems to be louder than normal.

Any thoughts what is going on here?

FYI for anyone interested...fuel pump was the problem.
