I have a dually and get some black film on my rear quarter panel where the exhaust is. I keep a good coat of wax on there so it comes off ok, but I thought adding a chrome tip with a turn down might help a lot. Can anybody recommend a vendor or manufacturer. I had one years ago and the chrome just peeled off after a few months. Also do y'all know what size I might need? Thanks for the help.

HERE is a sponsor that carries quite a few tips. I think they are all Stainless steel, so they cost a bit more but the shiny stuff won't peel off [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]. I think the stock pipe diameter is 3.5 in so you might need to pick up an adapter at Napa or something.

I went out and measured my stock tip and it looks like it is 3 1/2" . It is cut off on an angle so it is hard to get an exact measurement but it is close. All the tips I have found, quality tips are 4" and 5". Can somebody let me know where they have found a tip for the 3 1/2" exhaust. I want SS not chrome.

I bought mine from here . It's been on my truck for almost 5 years and has held up well. I plan on removing it in a few months (along with the entire exhaust system ) and replacing it with a 4" dual setup. I can't wait! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

If you order from the link I posted, he will weld a 3.5" adaptor for your application for an extra 5 dollars! That's what I did. It is SS and it's a rolled tip. Not bad for under 30 bucks huh?!
