Steering pull

Just throwing this out for opinions. My truck has developed a severe steering pull sort of like when you enter a road rut. It happens after making a turn. If I turn to the left, the truck will have a slight pull to the left. As soon as I correct to the right, the truck will pull severely to the right as if getting caught in a road rut. Any ideas? I am thinking loose track bar bracket, loose track bar or bad axle u-joint. Thanks!

My axle u-joint is seized for sure. Even though it is free spinning, I think it catches once in a while enough to throw the steering out until it 're-centers' it self. Had a similar issue when the passenger side seized only it would not center and would create a horrible wobble. Kinda hard to explain. Ball joints are fairly new (greasable MOOG's 2 years ago). This all started after my lift install so I am not sure what the culprit is but the more I think of it, the more it points to the u-joint. A good way to tell is jack up the front, wheel off. Engage the hub lock and turn the hub. Should turn without binding as you steer left to right and back. Hope this helps others. The problem has not re-occurred for a few days and I have not replaced the joint yet to confirm. I hate intermittent problems.

Had a similar problem usually would happen after turning the truck would start jerking side to side. Occasionally it would happen driving, truck would jerk side to side. I had a bad Ujoint. I would check those and ball joints
