stock 20" wheels

What size are the lariat 20's wheels? What size spacer is needed to run them on a 7.3?

Thanks

Re: stock 20" wheels

Factory Ford 20" wheels are 20X8. Although not recommended, it would take atleast a 1" spacer to fit them properly on a pre-'05 truck.

Re: stock 20" wheels

If you want to go bigger on OEM wheels look for some 18"s. I ran a set of '04 HD edition 18"s on my '04 PSD and they were a great set of wheels and tires.

Re: stock 20" wheels

HeavyAssault is correct, 18"s (18X8) from the '04 are a nice OEM option for early SD's. They were standard on the H-D's and optional on Lariat's and KR's.

Re: stock 20" wheels

Thanks, but I guess I am just going to have to shell the extra money to get the aftermarkets with the right offset. What is in the way on the old style, shocks? springs?

Re: stock 20" wheels

The '05-up wheels sit too far in on the early SD's, so you endup rubbing the springs real bad while turning. Plus you endup with that narrow track railroad truck look.

Re: stock 20" wheels

He asked how much of a spacer he needs! It can be done. There are spacers out there.. I might guess 2 inches

Re: stock 20" wheels

Also, I think they changed the bolt pattern on '08. If they are pre 08 you will probably be okay.
