Suspension noises
Howdy all,
I bought a 2002 Excursion 7.3 Limited about 2 months ago. The X has a 6" lift on it with 37's. I am new to the solid front axle ride and feel. It's definately a rougher ride but not one that bothers me at all. My question is regarding noises in the front end. When going over speed bumps or rougher roads the front end/suspension seems to make clunking noises and has done this since I bought it. I know the solid front axle is a rougher ride but is it also a louder ride as well? I have been under the truck a few times, but no in depth troubleshooting yet as I think this is probably normal but have no experience telling me otherwise. Is this standard or should a solid axle be as quiet as my friends lifted Titan? Thanks for the help.
