Violent shudder when towing

When I am towing my 3 axle car hauler I have recently been getting a severe rear driveline shudder when I accelerate hard from a dead stop or very slow speed.....springs ?......u-joint?.....bearing? ......tranny?!!!!!

I would inspect my U-joints, sounds like a bad one to me.

I'd try greasing the driveshaft splines first, then check out the more pricey fixes if that doesn't solve it.

I have also noted a little vibration, not violent, when just starting from a standstill towing at or beyond max GCWR. The dually is just level or a 1" below level when the fully loaded trailer is on the hitch. Could this be carrier alignment?

That is most likely the problem with both trucks.
