Where to tap hot wire

I want to mount radar detector high on the drivers side windshield. Where do I tap hot wire under dash. I want power only when ignition is on. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Where to tap hot wire

There is a heavy gauge red w/ black tracer wire on the bundle running down the steering column that is key-on hot. Some folks have had success finding the white w/blue tracer as a customer-access key-on hot, too.
