All 2000 Superduty F-250s have a Ford 10.5" rear axle, made in the Sterling, MI axle plant that is now operated by Visteon. Insiders call it a "Sterling" axle, but that just tells you where it was made. It's a Ford-design axle with a 10.5" ring gear, and since Visteon took over the plant it's now officially a Visteon axle.
