Start with the batterys. Are they fully charged?
Are they outputing the amps needed.
Check the battery posts are clean. Check the cable ends for corrosion and tightness. Basily check for good connections on all power cables and grounds.
When you jump the starter solinod does the engine spin at a good rpm?
When you turn the key does the glow relay kick in? Watch the voltage on the batterys. The glow plugs require a lot of amps. If you have por connections or dead or faulty batterys you may not be getting enough to run the system.
Usually when the key is turned to start and the dash goes dead you don't have the battery power to operate.
