299,999.4 miles

Ive been watching and waiting for the big 300k mark and when I pulled in the driveway tonight guess what 299,999.4 miles. I was tempted to drive around the block just to get it over with but since I got about 250 miles to drive tommorow, I decided to hold off. I dont know why this is a big deal to me but Im kind of excited.

Looks like your 7.3 is finally getting broke in. I am the same way with these types of mile stones. Its funny, I forget mothers day every year, but I always remember when my trucks turn 100k, 200k, 300k...you get the picture. My wife totally understands. When we were dating she always said, "I can compete with another woman, but not with a truck", boy I do love her.

Well, we made it to 300,000 and still kicking. The miles are 90% highway so Im sure I can make it to 500,000, thats the goal at least then retire to the ranch.

now the good news

so @ 20mpg you need 10,000 galons of diesel to get to 500,000.......... so @ $4.00+ and rising only $40,000 or more for fuel!
Cheers
Have a good weekend

I had a Nissan (it's still in my signature-need to change that) It got to 299,500K and it ran great, but the frame broke in half from rust and I had to sell it for parts. Congrats on the milestone!

Wow!...great timing, but pay attention when you leave the driveway!...I'm a couple thousand away from 300k myself and just know that i'll be all ready for it and the phone will ring or my favorite song will come on and I'll get distracted and not look again until I'm at 300,037.2 or something and totally miss it.
Well, I'm planning to have her when she goes over 400k and 500k so there are more chances.
LOL

So thanks to veggie, I spent an hour checking my frame for any rust damage. j/k

S95, I could either spend 40k reaching my 500,000 or buy a new one for 40k and watch it in the driveway. Ill buy the fuel.
