95 F-250 7.3 Turbo DI Powerstroke

I am wondering if anyone can tell me where to get an High Pressure Oil Pump for my truck other than the dealer. I've had the injectors, cups, radiator, all hoses replaced. The truck ran for about a month and then stopped. I've had the fuel pump replaced after that and it ran but not for long. It would idle for a few seconds and then die. Now I can't get it to start at all. My thought is that it's the HPOP. I would also like to know if there is a switch that needs to be reset after the fuel pump was replaced. Help me please.

Why did you have the injectors and cups replaced in the first place?

The fuel pump is mechanical, it needs rpms to function. They don't have a reset switch like the gas models do.

The hpop is the big rectangle on the front of the engine behind the radiator hose. You can remove the plug or the sensor to check the level. Should be within 1" from the top, but if you have cranked a lot without starting it may be low.

After replacing the fuel pump the engine would not stay running? or ran for a while after that?

It would not stay running after the fuel pump was replaced, then it stopped running period. I found where the hpop is today and got some oil. I'm checking the level tomorrow and will see. I also ordered a cam sensor for it. The injectors and cups were replaced among quite a few other things because there was fuel running through my cooling system.

was all the air purged from the system after replacing the fuel pump? have you checked the fuel pressure while cranking?

Yes to both and the fuel flows but does not spray. We took off the line where it goes into the valve cover. Thank you so much for trying to help. I really appreciate it.

what line did you remove that goes into the valve cover?
the fuel flows through the hard lines from the back of the fuel pump in the valley of the engine.

you can check the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the side of the fuel pressure regulator on the side of the fuel bowl.

We replaced the cam sensor last night and it cranked right up. But thank you so much. This site has been very informative. I didn't know about checking the pressure on the side of the bowl thank you.
