'96 CPS part number

Okay guys,

My CPS is crapping out, so I went to the Ford dealership to pick up a new one. BUT, they said they are on back order and are only shipping "emergency" orders (aka + 20% on the price). The part number they gave me was F4TZ-12K073C. Wouldn't the CPS for the early SD work for us as well? They had plenty of those.

What is the International part number for our trucks? I want to try the local International dealer to see if they have a CPS in stock.

Thanks

Int will have it and it will be about 100 dollars cheaper. My new "spare" was just under 80 bucks. They have filters and everything for less.

Well, the CPS at Ford was $35. For the Super Duty 99-03 version it was $27.

Does anyone know if the Part Number that Ford gave me is correct for our trucks?

Holy cow, just called our local International Dealer with the 1824948C1 part number and was quoted $287/ea!

Okay, spoke with the Ford guy again...

The CPS for 94-96:

Old Part # F6TZ-12K073-A
New Part # F4TZ-12K073-C

I just bought them through www.fordparts-fordparts-fordparts.com , which is Y2K Ford in Seattle, Washington

They have them for $18.14 each!

Nope, it is the correct part. MSRP for the CPS is $35, they just sell them cheaper.

they had a recall on them awhile back maybe that is the reason they are so cheap.
