Anyone use a snowsport plow?

Saw a snowsport plow (www.mysnowsport.com)at a local trailer dealer. It uses a reciever hitch (front or rear) and is raised and lowered manually. The blade weighs 110#, the whole kit (blade, reciever, mount) 220#. Whoe thing runs about $1200. I would be using it to plow only my own drive 110'x12'. Would I need to do any mods to truck beyond mounting front reciever? Any other similar products on the market you've seen?

a truck that has a diesel pushing that plow will prob just rip it off the truck. these trucks are animals when it comes to pushing. if all u are doing is your driveway i'd look fo a nice used plow set up in the classifieds. good luck

Sounds like a real PITA. Raise and lower manually? I bought a used 8' Western Proplow for $750 and it was in great shape. If I was to get a new plow, I would either get a Boss quick attach or Western ultramount. More money no doubt, but you'll have a real plow that you can also drop easily when not needed. I've seen new 8' ultramounts on Ebay for under $3000 and low shipping.
