I use my little electric 1100 psi pressure washer to hose the engine down, spray it with Simple Green or Purple Power, let it sit 10 to 15 minutes and thin rinse throughly. Avoid spraying water directly at electrical components and the engine should be cold when you do this. After I rinse, I blow the engine off with my air hose the best I can and then go to work with a rag and the Armour All. My wife says I am a little anal about the way I keep my truck, I tell her my truck gets more compliments than her house keeping. I am getting tired of sleeping on the couch.
