Coolant

I did a search and see that this topic could be contested, but what coolant should I use? I went to get my new water pump from NAPA this morning and the guy asked about antifreeze. I froze. I could remember seeing something in the 50 or so pages I read about what type, brand and sca levels, but it all left me as sson as he asked the question.

Re: Coolant

So instead of looking at the prior search results you want to get the debate going again??

Personally I use Fleetguard from the International dealer and add the proper level of FW-16 to get the SCA levels correct.

Re: Coolant

Search through this information from Steve. He has a section on coolant and what is okay to use in PSD. I went with Texaco because it was easiest to find.

Also some good info in this article:
