Coolant coming out of the valve cover...

Yikes! I have coolant spraying out of my oil filler cap. I've talked to two different mechanics: one said "This is really bad- it's your head gasket." The other said "This is really bad- it's your injector O-ring(s)" Both sounded expensive. The engine idles as smootly as it did before K, it's a 1995 with 290,000 kms on it- it was never that smooth...
The mechanic that said O-rings said these engines are bullet-proof, as far as head gaskets go- he's been a Ford mechanic for 10 years (blah blah blah) and has never seen head gaskets go on these, but has seen lots of O-ring do this.
What say ye?

It aint good whatever is causing it. I would guess head gasket. Coolant (~15psi) would have to get past the brass cups, fuel o-rings and the fuel (~7psi), and the high pressure oil (~400psi) o-rings to get to the under valve cover area. Head gasket could drain directly into the crank case and then if engine was full of coolant, it could spray out of oil filler cap.

Either way - This is really bad, pull a valve cover see where it is coming from, remove all coolant from engine oil space immediately.
