If I am going around an extremely slight left turn (like 10 degrees on the steering wheel) and somewhere between 40-50 mph I get death wobble. If I straighten up it instantly goes away. It doesn't do it at low or high speeds though.
Today I had a coworker turn the wheel while I watched. All looks tight except the tie rod. It rotates up and down depending on the steering direction and I can hear a clank. It is not horribly loose, but I can rotate it on it's tie rod ends with one hand. My coworkers Dodge tie rod can be moved, but only with two hands.
Think it is time to replace the tie rod? It doesn't have that many miles on it, so if it is bad it is premature. Probably Moog from Advance Auto. I can get make and mileage details when I get home.
