Did Glow plugs at wrong torque values, redo?

I'm in the process of replacing my glow plugs. ALL passenger side GP's tested bad and were replaced. That valve cover is a PIA!!! (Well at least I made some new and strange looking tools!). Anyway, I got the torque values mixed up in my head and only torqued the GP's to between 8 and 10 pounds (VC torques). Should I go back in and re-torque to 14lbs? I really hate the idea of going back into that side of the motor when today was slated for the drivers side.

I'd leave it alone. I'd wager to bet 90% of glow plugs replaced are done without even using a torque wrench.

Well your options are to redo it so it is right or wait for the glow plugs to come loose and snap off and fall into the cylinder and take out your engine. I don't know about you but it is way cheaper even though it will take up some of your time to fix it right versus buying a new engine for a few grand. You are taking a gamble that I personally would never take. Is it worth it to take the chance of major damage?

Thanks for the advice! After thinking on it a while I guess I'll go back into the passengers side and torque them up to 14lbs.

Done! The second time going in wasn't so bad (I had my special cut wrenches this time). I guess it was a good thing anyway, I ordered aftermarket gaskets from Advance Auto (Doorman?) and later found out I didn't need them. I put one in on the passanger side anyway since I had it. It's Chineese junk! The glow plug sockets don't grip right and the connectors at the valve cover edge are actually smaller than our Mexican made ones. I put the old gasket back in and buttoned her up last night. Will start her up this morning. I'll try to return the Chineese junk...$120!!
