Dip stick tip is white

I am currently going through a water pump replacement. The engine has some oil left in the coolant system due to a bad oil cooler. The previous owner put a used cooler on with new seals. Ford told me to flush the system out with cascade and rinse it like 3 times to get the cascade out. Then replace all hoses and wp. While I’ve been flushing the system, every now and then I check the oil and find a white tip and some white stuff further up the stick. Ford said that is moisture in the oil system and it will take some oil changes to get that out. Ford also did the pressure check on the cooling system and said the wp is bad and the oil cooler is apparently not leaking. He said if the oil cooler is bad, the cooling system will be full of oil since the oil has a higher pressure than the cooling system.
What do you think about this problem? Im still wondering if the oil cooler is bad. Also I would like to send an oil sample to someone who does the testing. Who do you recommend?
Sorry for the long thread.

Jarrod

Uh... no more than two. At the most. I only put about 600 miles on it since I bought it.

Well since you mentioned it, when I did the head gaskets, like a gallon of coolant came out of the oil pan. But haven’t changed the oil since. I guess I should do it this weekend or next. I have been using Rotella 15w40. Is the ford oil any better? Is Blackstone's web site blackstone-labs.com?

Right now change it with the cheapest stuff you can find.

When there is no more water put better oil in. If you drained the water out, changed the oil once with in a short amount of time the remaining water should be gone. Oil temps run very high which would evaporate the water right out of there I would think.

Oh I should tell ya that the oil has a tint of green. I asked the dealer that and he said thats normal for diesel oil. I have a hard time of believing that.
