does boost mean power?

im just wondering if boost means power,therefore if you increase boost,u increase power.for instance,say truck A can hit 33psi when towing and truck B can only hit 26psi,does that mean that truck A will automatically outpull truck B? i just want to know how boost and power work. thanks

that's more of a general question then psd related, but no more boost does not automatically mean more power.

your probably better off doing a search on "how stuff works" on google about turbos.

there are lots of variables, like volume of air vs psi, heat generated by excessive boost, excess boost created by overspeeding the turbine thus reducing efficency,...........
