Does new unused anti-freeze 'age'/deteriorate??

I have 4 gals of antifreeze I have had for several years (6+?).
Unopened. all Prestone, 2 diff. types. Anyone know if it loses soemthing
while it sits in the bottle??

Also, 2 of these are Prestone in a black bottle, SCA pre charged, low silicate, penray technology.. Is this OK for a PSD?

The other two are yellow bottle, plain green contents..
Can I mix the two when I change my antifreeze??

Thank for your help. If these are still good, it will save me big bucks
in replacing my antifreeze.

The black bottle antifreeze is the one for the PSD, don't mix it with the regular green or you will need to add SCA's to maintain the proper level. I don't believe it goes bad.

It has a shelf life. If you want to go by the mfgs recommendations, yours is too old.

From Prestone site, FAQ's, found this:

Q:What is the shelf life of Prestone® Antifreeze/Coolant?A:
If the product is still in the original sealed container then it has a shelf life of many years. If the product has been opened and has not been diluted with water then it also has a shelf life of many years.
