Door lock/Keyless/Courtesy light Module Part number and compatibility

Is the module under the dash that controls the courtesy lights, keyless, etc interchangeable from other years and models of vehicle, and which ones. Also if anyone has the part number I'd be happy to have it. I haven't finished testing yet but want to know my options.

Here's the rest of the story. Got back late from Snowmobiling. While unhooking the trailer the boys got up front and were messing with the switches and lights. A little later the couresy lights quit working, blown #8 fuse. Oddly, when that fuse is blown, if I hit the door locks the dash lights come on
Anyway, replaced the fuse, lights worked, about 5 minutes later the horn beeped and the lights went out. Checked all the bulbs for shorts, nothing. Put a new fuse in, same thing. This time I found the switch I installed to disable the cargo light was on, and melted in that position. Tested and it had a medium resistance short to ground, great... Pulled the switch and wires to the cargo light and put a new fuse in. Everything works except the courtesy lights (door and Dome) now. The Map lights work tho, and shut off when battery saver kicks in. I assume it blew that circuit in the control module. Gonna pull it apart and look for any obvious problems, and check the wiring too of course, before I replace anything.

Re: Door lock/Keyless/Courtesy light Module Part number and compatibility

I'll let you know if I find out. Whenn I get around to pulling mine I'll at least post the number on it and some pics. Maybe make it easier to spot at the wrecking yard. Wish Ford had a database like Arctic Cat has, plug in a part number and it tells you every model it is used on. Maybe some day...
