Easy question for 95 PSD Owners

How long does your check engine light stay on when you turn the key to the on position?
Mine stays on for a split second and then goes off without ever turning the key to the crank position. If this is NOT normal, has anybody encountered this before?
Another thing that may or may not be related happened the other day. The cruise control intermittently disengages when I turn on the left blinker. If anybody is familiar with these problems or problem, I would appreciate the help.

Thanks for the info. I'm used to vehicles that the check engine light stays on until the engine is actually running. Disregard the cruise control issue. I just found a recent post stating that burnt out brake bulbs can cause it to disengage with a turn signal. Man I love this forum!

Hello,
I don't have an answer to your blinker question but on mine sometimes the right turn signal kills the tq lock up even in OD. This also coincides with the right front turn signal not working. I know my turn signal switch is tired but I might also have a bad bulb. I don't know for sure though. I'm not too worried though. Good luck.
