Re: Finally a new forum?

There is a conversation on just this subject in the aftermarket forum- but then how would anyone know that unless they went over there...

Re: Finally a new forum?

Yes, it was moved.

The moderators really are in a no win situation, trying to please everyone.

I really don't like the new system either because it doesn't save anyone any time. It surely causes all sorts of extra work for the moderators, too.

I had a question about alternators in the general forum, but since it's technically not stock (I talked also of ambulance alts) it got moved to the other forum.

I can see where it fits better there, but we are virtually demanding that people read both forums, and cross posting is almost necessary now.

How can you talk about replacing stock injectors without at least mentioning how much cheaper it is to upgrade them instead?

Which forum should this go in? The stock guy would and should want to know all his options...so he's gonna cross post, as well he should.

The split up of knowlege is what's going to kill it. I want all those guys with upgrades to share their knowlege, even about my stock stuff, but to ask them to read both forums...ain't gonna happen as much, and if it does, then we've not done ourselves any favors with the split. none.

Again, it must be madenning as a moderator to make these decisions, but it seems like a split of a different nature would allow the beginners and experts to read the same forums, which is why we all like these forums anyway.

Re: Finally a new forum?

Im definetly interested in performance stuff for diesels, hell thats why im going to diesel school! It definetly DOES not save anyone time on the forums! I just think it would be easier on EVERYONE if they were all combined like previously. Oh well, as long as our forum doesnt get like the SD forums!
