I personally think that splitting up our site only makes it half as effective. There are not even close to enough hits on this site to warrant this, I would like everyone elses input.

Re: Forums

Okie1, I like the change. It is nice to be able to look for modification and upgrade information when I am in that frame of mind and for general 94-97 information when I am in that frame of mind. I look at both when I cannot decide. Once things have sorted themselves out and everyone is used to the change it will be fine, in my never-to-be-humble opinion.

Jason can see how things are working on the server in ways we cannot and his decision is based on what is best for the site and for all concerned. It would have been easier to just archive and not split the forum - it made extra work when archiving was done and will make extra work for moderators for a while so I don't think it was done just to tick us all off.

Re: Forums

It has it's advantages and disadvantages. Makes it quicker to spot someone in need of help without it getting lost in a barrage of performance and bling related posts. At the same time it will likely reduce the number of people available to help as some will spend most of their time in the other forum.

Discussions about the site it's self, likes, dislikes, etc. are only on topic in the News forum which is where I would normally move this. However, there is already an ongoing thread HERE where folks can express their opinions of the current setup. Therefore, I'll direct folks to make there comments in the link above and close this thread and leave it here for now as a reminder of where to comment on this subject.

Thanks,
