Re: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER SIZE?

Pioneer TS-A1671R 6 1/2" from Best Buy, Circuit City, or even Wal-Mart are good speakers. Check the size and model numbers in my sig.

Re: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER SIZE?

I replaced mine with 6 1/2" (junk so I would not recommend my brand, they are waiting replacement again with something to match my Pioneer 3 ways in the back) and had to do a little modification to the cutouts in the door itself. The door panel was fine, you can't even tell anything was done unless you remove the panel and know what you are looking at.

Re: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER SIZE?

1997F350Duallie, thanks, I'm sure I'd like your too then

GTstangs, the Pioneer TS-A1671R 6 1/2" 220W speakers will bolt right in with no modifications needed (all the Pioneer 6 1/2" should). You simply have to turn them in the hole to position the pre-drilled holes in the speaker to align with the factory mounting holes. I would recommend going to Best Buy and getting a pair of speaker harnesses, you simply "plug and play" with the wiring that way with no chance of getting the polarity wrong. They were only $5.00 or so if I recall correctly.

Re: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER SIZE?

6.5" work fine. Stock is 5 1/4". Huge difference in sound quality when I put in some pioneer 3way 180watt(max) speakers. Can't wait to put some good quality 6x9s in the rear. It was amazing how much sound I was actually missing cause the speakers weren't good enough.
