Fuel Pressure Help? - Diesel Forum

What should fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the filter housing be ? I know it should be between 40-60psi idling but what while it's under load driving it? Also I can Move the compressor wheel in my turbo up and down just a little it's enough that it will touch the housing, is a little play normal or is it time for a rebuild? Thanks fellars, Dave

time for a rebuild on the turbo...should be NO play.

Yes, it is time for a rebuild.

It should only move about 2 thicknesses of a sheet of paper.

If the compressor wheel can touch the housing, it is defitnately time for a rebuild.
