I actually got really lucky on my most recent buy of a 97 F-350. Actually found her on AutoTrader. I wouldn't bet on Ebay or Craig's list, too many scams running around these days. It's gonna be the luck of the draw. How far you willing to go to pick it up... that's your biggest concern

I got my truck off of craigslist but I know the area i got it from and as it turned out i know the guys son.

Ive purchased one vehicle from e-bay, one from craigslist and one from e-bay,

you gotta cast a wide net when you're looking for a particular vehicle.
Just check it out good, carfax, etc.

Ask for maint recipts, EVERYONE will SAY they did the maint, but few can prove it.

I hate to say it on this site, but Id look for a '95 with the mechanical injection and no problems with the CPS, HPOP, etc, etc.
