My headlights are majorly screwed up thanks to an botched body shop job. I'm very particular and want things right. I've read the procedure of being 25Ft from a vertical wall and adjusting the lamps. My question is does anyone know for sure what the vertical drop at 25' spec is for our trucks. Internet says 2" regardless of vehical in one place, another says 3", another 3.5". Anyone know?
Thanks,

Well the service manual is no help since it only references use of the Rotunda Headlight Aiming tools (no mention of any distance/drop). Just for some additional confusion, my old 1984 VW Rabbit factory manual has the top of the high intensity portion of the spot on the vertical surface at the same height of the headlight center (@ 25 ft). My 1993 Buick service manual and 1969 VW Bug service manuals are the same. My 2002 Honda factory manaul has a spec of 2.1" drop (@ 25 ft). Cheers!

Thanks, I'm still kind of up in the air. That procedure was the one I was all set to use but there are conflicting procedures. One says for headlights low like in cars it's 2", then for higher the increment goes up so for trucks sitting like ours the setting is 3.5". I'm still unsure. Thanks Patrick too. I read the manual and got the same info. You know all body shops around here have no equipment, and I called the Ford dealers and they just set it by the visual. No Rotunda equipment nor do they really know the correct setting. Just set it and forget it and don't care if it's correct. I just can't have that.

Find a reputable inspection facility if you have them there and they will have the proper tools to set the adjustment on your lights. The dealer should be asahmed of themselves for not having enough pride to do the job right.
