HELP! NO START

Help me! My 96 PSD won't start. It sat for 1 week plugged in. Now it just cranks a little faster than usual but won't produce any smoke. There is fuel in the bowl, new fuel filter, fuel in the tank, the oil level is right at the top, and plenty of juice in the batteries. The oil pressure guage hasn't budged a bit even with prolonged cranking. Could it be that the oil has drained from the HPOP? If so, where is it and how do I prime it? Also, the tach moves up to about 300 RPM so the CPS is fine.
Thanks in advance!

Re: HELP! NO START

I could be the HPOP drained down but dont know , it is right at the front of the engine on top, kinda a rectangular(sp) if looking at it from the front there is a "plug" on the right hand side on top, one of those star type bits is needed if I remember right but I dont sometimes , if its low Im not sure how full it should be hopefully someone else will cime in, hope I could help

stay safe out there

Re: HELP! NO START

Thanks! It's runnin' now! I had to use a 30cc syringe because I didn't have a funnel that small. Any way to prevent this in the future?

Re: HELP! NO START

Glad to hear you got her to fire buddy! Takes your breath away when things like that happen. As for solving the leak down problem, PM a fellow named NIT, he is quite a guru on the oil system of the PSD. Bet he can help out.

Re: HELP! NO START

I thought it was only the 95's that had to worry about leak down? But strange stuff like this tend to happen all the time to all different kinds of people. I'm just glad the problem is fixed now.

Re: HELP! NO START

Technically only the 94.5's and 95's had to worry about leakdown when putting a Super Duty pump on. In other words, yours shouldn't leak down like that.
