High pressure oil pump o-rings

Hello guys, I've been looking this board over for a while and just joined to try to get a fix for my mothers truck. My question is this, is the o-rings that are on the quick disconnects of the dicharge lines from the high press. oil pump reinforced with something or are they just regular butyl rubber o-rings. The truck started leaking oil very badly the other day and I found the back discharge fitting to be leaking through the o-ring, I replaced the o-ring and problem solved untill this morning, it's leaking just as bad again, and on inspection, I can see the o-ring is 'mushrooming' out from around the fitting. Any help guys is greatly appreciated. It's a '97 F250 4 wheel drive 7.3 P/S.

They are Viton o-rings most likely.

(Ford) 5C3Z-9N693-A, (International) 1823790C1 (o-ring for HPOP hose to pump joint)

Cheers!

Thanx for your response. I kind of thought that too origanally but when I removed the first o-ring it was black, not brown like the Vitons that I am used too.
