IDM Help

I am kind of shooting in the dark here so bare with me.

Replaced CPS, fuel filter and fresh oil change. Truck will die driving it or idling.
Last time it died in the driveway I pulled the fuel filter thinking it might of been a low fuel issue but the bowl was full.

It will usually start right back up again. The CEL will only come on when it shuts off, after you restart it CEL goes off.

Lastnight I went to start in garage and as soon as cycled the key for wait to start I heard a bunch of odd clicking and CEL came on briefly then I started it to have it die 10 seconds later. It did this twice. On the 3rd time it ran fine for my little 5 mile drive.

I am suspecting the IDM, I can get one off ebay for 185.00. Do you think it would be dumb to go ahead and just swap it out without knowing for sure that it is the IDM?

Its a 97 with only 72000 mile on it.

Try switching the relays in the power distribution box , 1& 2 with 3&4 ....

Get the code read ,,it will point us in the right direction...Maybe ICP ,,,,

Alright, now the dumb question. Where is the power distrubution box and what is the ICP. I need a cheat sheet of all the abreviations....

I gambled and picked up a reman IDM, installed it and so far I would say that was problem.

Thankfully these forums have a ton of info if you use the search function
