IH Throttle problem

Hey all not shure if you guys will be able to help me with this but maybe you will. At work we have a 97 IH 4700 single axle truck that intermitently the throttle quits working if you shut the key off and turn it back on it will be fine for another 10 or so minutes and then the same thing. We have already put in a new potentieometer(? spelling). I believe the electrical systems are basically the same as our trucks so thought asking you guy would be worth a shot. thanks for the help

Our trucks have a micro switch adjacent to the potentiometer to signal the computer when the throttle has left or returned to idle position. Idle Validation Switch (IVS). It is part of the safety system in this drive by wire stuff and I'm sure IH has something similar. If the switch is malfunctioning it may be your problem.
