Injection Pressure Above or Below Code?

I was on my way back from Fort Worth to Abilene, TX after picking up a horse trailer. I had the cruise set on 75MPH when I hit a small hill on I-20 close to my house. She was screaming up the hill with no problems at all and about half way up I heard a click under the dash, then all power from the engine went. I wasn't blowing smoke, and the check engine light came on. I limped it up the road at about 40 MPH to an exit. Checked all the connectors and shut it down and restarted. Check Engine went out and the truck sounded like it was running back to normal instead of really quite. I turned the A/C off and set the cruise on 65MPH and came to another hill about the same size and grade. Half way up it did it again. Ran it home, and pulled the codes and got the 1211 Code.

I am at a loss here. I figure it is the IPR or the ICP, what do you all think?

Not to over simplify ,,but have you checked the oil level?...

You get that code when ICP is not at the expeccted level for 7 seconds or so...

May need an oil change also ....

The oil level is good, and I only have about 3k on it since the last oil change. I did add two quarts of Marvel Mystery Oil to the crank case during the 2k oil filter change. May be to thin I guess, but I have had a problem with my truck for a while. I has had a miss like sound, loss of power, and mileage. Changed CPS, Filters, Fuel Pump, Injectors, UVC's and Gaskets, and had a bad IDM that has been changed out. With all this changed, the mileage came up and power definitely went up with Stage 1's, but there is still a missing sound. Just figured I would run it till it went since no codes are ever thrown and no mechanic can tell me what it is.

When the Check Eng light came on and the computer switched to what I guess is a Safe Mode, the engine ran quiter and the missing sound seemed to have went a way, or at least not as noticable at all. ????

The only thing I can think of that may be happening during the CEL ,,would be the IPR may be commanded to close the drain to raise ICP ????

Is the ICP sensor leaking oil ?...

I changed the ICP senor with my mechanics spare to see if it was causing any problems with the missing sound, no change, so I put mine back in and pinched the o-ring with leaked some oil for about a week. I got a new o-ring and no more leaking, well at least it isn't hitting the ground any more. I haven't cleaned it out of the valley yet, but doesn't seem to be leaking any more.

I talked to my friend about hooking the scanner up and watching the pressure. He said that it really would not show much that would tell us anything. I changed the orings on the IPR. It wasn't leaking, but the shaft that the connector part slides over was filthy. Cleaned it up, and the truck started great and was running smooth again. Took it down the road and opened it up and she ran great. Next day, which was today, I was in fifth gear running about 50-55mph and started to get back on the throttle and it did it again. Check engine light came on and the PCM switches to a SAFE MODE, which has no power.

I restarted the engine to clear the CEL and ran in third gear for about 7 seconds with the engine rapped up to 3k and it did it again.

Not sure what to do here. At a loss.....

I changed the ICP and no change. Took the program off, no change. Every time I put my foot on the gas pedal, it goes to safe mode. I am going to try changing the IPR valve.

It was the IPR. I guess it was stuck. It is finally running right again. I pulled my horse trailer all over the place with no problems.

I roadrace a 125GP bike..haul it with a huge truck & a 20' 5500# trailer...whee!
It's looking better: replaced fender, front bumper & hood hinges.
