IPR coil ?
Hey Guys,
I am still trying to figure out the source of my random rough idle. I have replaced:
UVC harness, gaskets
Diy injector rebuild
Glowplugs
Map sensor
Baro sensor
Air temp sensor
CPS
Batteries, cables
Starter relay
Cleaned all battery connections.
All of these things have made the truck run fantastic and smooth. It starts easily runs on all cylinders and gets 18mpg BUT.
The truck usually idles smoothly at 645 rpm according to the Aux idle control. and is slightly sluggish off the line.
However after extended highway driving the truck idles very rough at 650 rpm but will then launch off the line with no hesitation. It will then idle normally at 645 rpm.
I have noticed that the Ipr coil is VERY loose inside the housing but the nut is on snug. I read there is a fix for this.
Incidentaly this problem existed before I rebuilt the injectors.
Thoughts?
