I saw a tester in AutoZone the other day to test your remote(fob). You walk up to it push the button on your remote and if the little light comes on the fob is transmitting. I don't know if you have AutoZone in your area or not but if so might be worth a little drive down there.

The owners manuel says how to reprogram the fob (page 70ish). Basicly doors closed and unlocked, put the key in. Its eight times between positions 3 (acc.) and 4 (on) (position 2 is off and 5 is start). The door locks should cycle and then press lock on the fob, door locks will cycle again. You can do up to four fob's. When done programing the fob, return to position 3 and and locks will cycle to confirm the programing. Done. I just did this and worked the first time (04 F250). Now both my fob's work again. Hope this helps.
