I have tried to do the search but with no results. I am trying to find out the location of the sensor that has to do with the altitude the truck runs fine when at higher altitudes but at about 1000 slugish and depresing. any help would be accepted. thanks

EBP sensor, Exhaust BackPressure sensor. If you look down on your motor with the engine cover removed, theres a black metal plate just above and a tiny bit behind the HPOP reservoir. It is bolted to that plate and theres a tube that runs to it from underneath the plate. It is a 3 wire sensor. The plug is vertical...meaning the pins that it plug into go straight up and down.

Theres also a BARO sensor. Im not sure where its located though

the baro sensor is inside the cab above the accelerator pedal, looks like a relay. it is mounted on a metal tab.

I don't have a direct pic of it, but if you look at this pic,

OEM keyless module pictures from cars photos on webshots

it is the black square box that is held up by the white plastic clip, closest to the steering column.

First of all THANK YOU, but is the black square box with a white label, pretty similar in size to the OEM keyless module, that is partialy visible in the left part of the pic, and close to a grey connector? because I cant see the white plastic clip.

The MAP sensor is what would change with altitude.

I highly doubt that the EBP has anything to do with altitude. Pressure it senses is completely dependant on RPMs, boost, etc which would override and barometric pressure changes.

Ahh, Ok, I thougth it was the "grey connector" I mentioned, the other with white label is partially seen to the right part of the pic and little above of the sensor you circled.

Thanks a lot.
