looking at F450, but can't find NADA/KBB value..

Do you folks know a website or resource where I can find values on medium duty trucks? NADA and KBB only list up to F350. I found an F450 that I want, but can't find a ballpark number to start with.

Its a 97, 235k miles, no bed (former tow truck), new tranny (auto) and all front accessories due to recent accident; radiator, condenser, PS pump, body panels, etc. He was very upfront with its condition and service record, and I expect it to be beat since it was a tow truck, but I have no idea if his asking price is on the mark, a steal, or too high. He's asking $5950. That seems a bit high given its history, right?

I'm going to go look at it today and I'll report back.

Re: looking at F450, but can't find NADA/KBB value..

I'd use the equivalent body style / engine / 2-4wd / value for an F350 and call it pretty much equal for the 450 in terms of kbb or nada value.

assuming it's a dually regular cab with no bed, if it's 4x4 he's in the ballpark, if it's 4x2 that seems high to me.... of course this is site unseen, if the interior is shot, the drivers door's ready to fall off the hinges and you can see the road through the floors - adjust accordingly! ;-)~

sold a 96 with a stick with same mileage, in genereal used work truck condition, it was a f superduty with the extended wheel base, brought only $2300 cash.....
had a utility bed on it, but bed was pretty rusted, and whole truck needed paint.

Great... thanks for the reassurance. I didn't want to let it go if it was a deal, but didn't want to get burned if it wasn't.
