Question In the market for a Powerstroke

Ok so im in the market for a 1994-1997 powerstroke dually and i was wondering which i should get a E4OD or a zf 5speed i have had 2 5 speeds in the past, i don't do much towing i just occasionally tow a 24 foot enclosed with a 3500 pound car in it, would the E4OD have trouble pulling that or is good? I only want to do probably exhaust, intake, maybe a programmer. Should i go with a E4OD or stick with a ZF 5 speed?

no... an e4od wouldn't have problems pulling your cargo...if it did there would be alot of us on the side of the road! seems to be individual likes more than advantage between the two.... i've had both manual and auto in trucks...i like the auto more than i liked the manual...especially when hauling my trailer or with camper on.

Towing/driving in hilly terrain is nicer with a 5-speed IMO. Especially with a load.

I dislike the "slippery slope" of mods in store for my E4OD when I want add an exhaust brake.

I think the most important thing is finding the right truck. Being able to go both ways doubles the amount of real good trucks out there.
