my friend and i both have 96 powerstokes. He wrecked his truck and told me i could take what i wanted. Is their any way that i can use his turbo to turn mine into a twin turbo? or something along those lines...

Sounds expensive and not worth the effort. Now compound turbos on the other hand might be worth it.

sounds difficult i am not very mechanically inclined lol how would i go about doing that?
If you are not mechanically inclined and do not have a fabrication shop at your disposal, you take it to somebody who does this for a living. Compound turbos use two smaller turbos to achieve CFM air flow that neither one can obtain individually. You must have a wastegate to control the boost. See the carnage of 101 psi. On edit: The things useful from his truck depending on the year would be the block, transfer case, tranny if the case is intact, PCM, IDM, hydroboost, powersteering pump, etc. The turbo is probably the least valuable thing on it.

After what my dealer just told me about my truck (97 f-250 crew cab 4x4 7.3 powerstroke) I would say the turbo and stuff would be a good find. If you do not want it I might.
