Need flywheel and presure plate torque specs - Diesel Forum

my stupid DMF bit the dust last night. i got a new luk clutch and everything. i need the flywheel bolts and presure plate specs.

I used the specs that came in the clutch box, seems it was 90-100 ft lbs on the flywheel and 25 on the pressure plate.

Be SURE to use some locktite on the flywheel bolts.

Also, I assume that you are putting in a new Throwout bearing. Make sure that the collar that it slides on doesnt have any burs, nicks, or flat spots. You can polish it with some really fine sandpaper, something in the 600 grit range. Also be sure to use the proper grease and lube the collar and lube the throwout bearing really good. You may need a new clutch fork, depends on if yours has alot of wear but with that many miles it probably would be a good idea.

Flwheel - 89 Lbs
Pressure plate - 20 -29 Lbs. I think most people would get closer to 29 lbs.

got the new luk clutch in. dang that would DMF was shot, its like driving a new truck. i would recomend it to anyone, just wish is was not so $$$$.
