Re: need help fast please steering wheel bearing

Sorry, I looked through my entire parts list and couldn't find it. I've have to do a search for it.

Re: need help fast please steering wheel bearing

I found this in the search, its from another poster so I dont know the validity of the part numbers. Its a rebuild kit and references prices. I will still look for the bearing part numbers for ya. Here is the quote.

Brandan

"Ok finally got some straight answers on the different part #s given to replace the bearings in the steering coloum, it seems the "kit" that was talked about does exist #FODZ3L539F however it does not include the bearings, it includes a Tolerance ring, steel sleve, Bearing pre-load spring, and a steering wheel bolt and oh ya instructions local dealer cost is $20.88, the bearings which are not included in the kit were $9.78upper and $11.28 lower, the parts guys said that most of the time you only need to replace the upper what do you guys think? I went ahead and ordered both figured as long as Im in there mite as well change both parts man agreed , anyway hope this helps some that are fixing to do this, I know what Im doing this weekend

stay safe out there

Re: need help fast please steering wheel bearing

I just did mine, the bearing #'s are F4DZ-3517-A and F4DZ-3517-C. My cost was $12.84 for the pair. The problem I had was that the tolerance ring and the bearing sleeve were missing. Sure makes a big difference with all the parts in place.
