Haven't been on for a while... seems like I am only on when I need help ! lol Anyway... work truck ran fine but began to crank slow/hard start. Tested batteries, one bad, so I replaced both. Still cranked slow, but once started ran great. I figured I would replace the starter and throw in a glow plug relay just because the gpr had been in there awhile and I consider it almost a maintenance item. Heres where it gets weird: I unhook both batteries, replace the starter, replace gpr, hook both batteries back up, and put tools away. I turn the key, wts light comes on then goes out, I turn it over ( cranks super fast! ) , but wont start! ??? I go back, check all the connections I know of ... still no start. After an hour, I figure what the hell, so I shoot a little No No (starting fluid) in the breather. Truck turns over fast, starts up, runs for 2-3 seconds, then dies. I cant get it to fire w/o ether, and cant even get it to stay running at all???? Any ideas?
Any chance your new GPR is no good. Doesn't seem to explain the dying after a few seconds though. Just a thought.

If everything is plugged in , (double check the IPR )there is a main plug also on the (IIRC) side of the fuel bowl , rt side , try starting it with the ICP unplugged ....

I too am having the same issues.. it started, then ran rough like it was clearing air in the fuel lines (after replacing the fuel filter), then after I took out the batteries to test them, then reinstalled them, got the WTS and Fuel Filter light, but no start.. cranks ok, but no start...
Thinking of replacing the starter, but if there is another solution, I'm all for it.

No, it's the sensor screwed into the driver's side head at the front of the engine top side behind the A/C compressor with 3 wires coming out of it.

think i found the problem... i dont know what the sensor is called, but the two wires coming out of the connector had the insulation worn off and were touching each other.. spread them apart and fired up?? hope that was it. ps.. it is between the fuel bowl and hpop..plugs into the backside on the bottom of the hpop.. black connector and has a wire spring that swings over and snaps the two connectors together. any ideas what that sensor is?
well, i went back out to properly repair those two wires, and noticed that whatever sensor it goes to moves... wth??? it slides left and right a total of about 1/2 inch... could that be my problem, not the wiring? i am sure that the sensor moved while i was unplugging/plugging...
man, i don see any loose parts in the valley... i spose the nut could have come off... i cant really see where there should be a nut tho... will that sensor slide side to side or just come out if the nut was gone?
