Wear looks pretty good in the first sample from your F250. Iron was above average but if you
work this engine hard that would explain it. All other wear is average so we doubt that it shows a mechanical
problem but we'll be sure to keep an eye on it next time. Universal averages are based on an oil run of
~5,300 miles. The oil was in good shape physically, containing no moisture, fuel, or coolant. The air and oil
filters are working well too (see silicon and insolubles). The TBN read 8.5, plenty of active additive
remaining. A TBN of 1.0 is too low. Nice engine.

Like they said, iron is a little high, but fantastic otherwise. Go to Bob is the oil guy forums and read up on oil and oil reports. The high TBN means the oil can go much longer safely. You could probably go 10,000 miles on that oil. Calcium, phosphorus, zinc are good numbers so good oil choice whatever it was.

1997 F350CC, 4x4, PSD Tipper pro kleenex open filter. Roggen 6" lift kit with 26" ratflex 12" offset tires. Downpipe cut and welded to adapt 3" into a 12" outlet. 12" muffler cut and adapted to 2", then a special turbo manifold from a volkswagon modified to flank out to 3" to the tail pipe. Interior from a Corvair modified by cutting 6" off the padding. Snize and snide 32gallon aux tank mounted in rear seat, rear seat relocated to bed. Bed shortened to 4ft.
I just got my "kit" in the mail last week. I've got 5k on my current Rotella and I'd like to send it in and get results before I change my oil again. How long did it take from the time you sent in the sample to being in receipt of the report. Oh, and what oil do you run? I run the Rotella with wix filter...
