Oil Leak coming from under Turbo.........

Well, I have an oil leak coming from under the turbo (I think). I want to make sure I get all the parts I need before I start. The posts I've been reading lead me to think that some pedistal o-rings are needing to be changed. How many are there? Will I need anything else for the job? Thanks

Greg

Re: Oil Leak coming from under Turbo.........

Is there any where else that the oil could be coming from? It's dripping in the rear of the valley.

Re: Oil Leak coming from under Turbo.........

could be one of the oil galley plugs I think, but that would be a fuel leak, which can look like oil with some road grime.... could also be the Epbv rod leaking if it's still intact....
if you need turbo orings, PM me.

Re: Oil Leak coming from under Turbo.........

Thanks Milner

I picked up the turbo O-Rings from the Stealership the other day. I'm trying to build up the courage to pull the turbo. The EBPV stud seamed dry. Thanks for the reply

Re: Oil Leak coming from under Turbo.........

Are you going to cut the EBPV acuator barrel off while you have the turbo off? Makes putting it back on a lot easier and you will never have an actuator rod leak again!
PM me if you need details on the process or one ready to go.

Re: Oil Leak coming from under Turbo.........

Well, pulled the Turbo and changed the O-rings. No oil leak yet. I did gut the EBPV while I was in there. The drivers side rear pedistal bolt was a pain. I had to use a mirror quit a bit. The lower nuts on the collector were also a pain. I didn't have a 15mm crows foot, so I took an old wrench, cut the box end off and welded an old socket to it. Worked like a charm. Thanks for all the replys
