what are the different PCM codes that have been programmed into the PCM's over the years?

Re: PCM code's

I don't remember who I snagged THIS from, but thanks.

I think in the TDS FAQ there is a more detailed one.

Re: PCM code's

Thanks. It turns out that I have 2 94 F-series PCM's. At least one of them i could have sworn came out of an auto.

Re: PCM code's

Quadzilla, Thanks for the link. I had my PCM reflashed the other day and although I asked the Ford service advisor for my four letter new code, all that was on the sticker was F7TF-TB. Your link cleared up that. I now have the TDE1 which I like much better than the old code of NAW6.

Re: PCM code's

As far as I know, the only code the Ford store can reflash an auto to is TDE1. If you want something else, you have to install a chip to get it.
TDE1 is a pretty terrific code, though. Both of my chips have that as the base code.

Re: PCM code's

Not trying to hy-jack the thread but whats the difference between a TDEO code and the TDE1 pcm. My ole mans 97 psd is a NAW6 and I might be able to get a TDE0 pcm. Would it be better for him.

Re: PCM code's

NAW 6 is a 96 PCM code. Must have been a early 97.

Re: PCM code's

mine was a naw6 as well now im running a tde1 pcm with my chip! Remember Tim that as long as you have a chip it really doesnt matter if you have an auto or man pcm, chip overrides it. Because of the over riding i do NOT understand the NO POWER 96 AUTO PCM!! What are the codes of the pcms you have?

Re: PCM code's

I don't know if it overrides everything or not. I tried my chip in that 94 pcm. The truck would run very rough and then die. I then pulled the chip and it would run just fine. I'm going to see how much the stealership would charge me to reflash the PCM.

$118 less 10% = $107 because even though this is my personal truck, I took it to our Ford fleet service dept and my fleet service advisor granted me a discount.
BTW, mine is an early '97.
