PCM p/n HELP!

I need to buy a new/used PCM for my truck. I'm at work and do not know it's p/n.
What do I need to know to buy one?
Will any year 1994-1997 with an automatic work?
Mine was a NAW4 flash, do I need the exact same?
I hope to still be using a chip, so if the truck will run, the flash doesn't matter, right?
Thanks guys!

Re: PCM p/n HELP!

jeffcoll -- If you can, get a PCM with a TDEx calibration. The transmission shifting strategy is muuuch better than the NAWx calibrations.

The part number for NAW4 is F6TZ-12A650-AYE.
The part number for TDE0 is F7TZ-12A650-TA.
The part number for TDE1 is F7TZ-12A650-TB.

Not sure if you can still get the NAW4 or TDE0 though. Powerstrokeshop.com has the TDE1 in stock for a little less than $275.00.

Cheers from Orlando, FL!

Re: PCM p/n HELP!

You can't use a 94 PCM, and don't use a 95. 94's dont have auto tranny's. 95 the OBD-II port is not enabled but a chip may fix that. You have to use a PCM flashed for an auto tranny.

Re: PCM p/n HELP!

Thanks alot for the fast response guys!

I think I'll go TDE1. I get good prices from NAPA, and I see they list this part online, I'll call and get a p&d from them first.

Thanks again!
